GAME Plan- Week 4

This week I spoke to my Librarian/Media Specialist, about teachers in other states, who teach a science class, that would be willing to Skype with me and debate a topic. I also asked a few of my department members, but no definite leads so far. Everyone is still trying to get in touch with their sources.
I don't believe that I have to change my plans as of yet but that may be the case in the near future. I am still holding out hope that a source will arise and I can begin practicing to get all of the "bugs" out before I get in front of the students.
If anyone has any other ideas let me know.
Thanks,
~Mrs. C

  1. Interacting with another class would be an amazing experience for students. Depending on where you lived, it may have a difference effect on the students. For me, living in a rural town, my students do not know much of life outside of our community and I believe Skype(ing) would be awesome for them to see other students from across the country like themselves.

Thanks. My students are always Skyping. They even use their cell phones and Skype to a friend when on vacation, and have no access to computers. They are totally immersed in the technology. I am still getting the nerve to go through with it. A bit scared and out of my comfort zone.
